Children’s early years of life, experiences and interaction with particularly parents and teachers form the foundation of all learning, health, behaviour and boundaries that last into adulthood. This field lets you interact with children in creative ways and discover about the specific tools that aid in their learning. There are many topics to be covered through the problem-based style of learning – regulations, health and safety habits, planning and inventing classroom activities and many more.
Bachelor of Early Childhood Education with Victoria University
This course gives you a comprehensive knowledge and understanding of the curriculum, concepts and teaching strategies of both the early childhood and primary school sectors with an extensive supervised teaching experience, including 10 days with infants and toddlers and 60 days with aged 3 to 5 years old.
Victoria University partners with a variety of industry organisations to inform its curriculum and facilitate workplace learning opportunities. You will gain extensive hands-on experience through professional placements.

Admission requirement: A secondary school qualification equivalent to an Australian Year 12 qualification – GCE A level, or a Diploma in Early Childhood Education.
Graduate outcome: You’ll be job ready thanks to the extensive experience gained teaching in real classrooms. You can work as a kindergarten teacher, primary school teacher or early childhood educator.
The VU advantage – Block Model – the new learning and teaching approach

Work after graduation
There are 2 options available to students who wish to work in Australia after graduation under a Temporary Graduate visa (subclass 485): Post-study work and Graduate work.
The Post-Study Work stream provides international student graduates with a 2-, 3- or 4-year visa, depending on the highest educational qualification obtained and the duration of study in Australia. Holders must maintain adequate arrangements for health insurance during their stay in Australia .
The Graduate Work stream is for international students who have recently graduated with skills and qualifications that are relevant to specific occupations that Australia needs. It lets you live, study and work in Australia temporarily.
